Joana Rodrigues Dantas Vezzani

She graduated from the Medicine Faculty of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2003) and residency at the State Institute of Diabetes and Endocrinology ( IEDE ) . Master of Nutrology and Diabetes at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2011) and a current PhD student at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She was a Visiting Scientist at Lund University- Sweden (2013)- Clinical Reaserch Center - Diabetes. She is a member of the Lipids Department Board of the Brazilian Society of Endocrinology and Metabology (2019-2020) and Treasurer of the Brazilian Diabetes Society (2018-2019 and 2020-2022). She is currently a medical staff and clinical researcher at the Nutrology and Diabetes Department of the Universitary Hospital Clementino Fraga Filho / UFRJ where she supervises medical students and residentes. She is an endocrinologist at Pro-Cardiaco Hospital/Rio de Janeiro. Area of interest: Diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease and dyslipidemia.
